2026.1 Release Notes

New

Allow admins to determine how the display name is shown for vendors/providers

Under Admin > Application Settings, admins can change the default setting for how vendor/provider names are shown in the directories. [1264470]
This setting defaults to Last Name, First Name. 

Updated

UI Uniformity (Alloy) & Improvements

  • Updated the footer for all pages throughout the symplr Contract application (excluding the Gift Alert module). [1415539]

  • Updated "disable user" terminology with "deactivate user" throughout the application. [562304]

  • Updated the Help menu to use Alloy components. [1412711]
    Function and appearance will be unchanged.

  • If a tenant has more then ten organizations, selecting the Organization menu will open a popup showing the full list of organizations. [1411275]

  • If an organization has more then ten external links, selecting External links will open a popup showing the full list of external links. [902871]

Global search

Users can now use the operators AND, OR, and NOT, with quotation marks around search terms. [1399934]

For example:

  • "A" AND "B"

  • "A" OR "B"

  • "A" NOT B

Reporting

Additional columns in the Reporting > Contracts tab 

Users will be able to filter and sort  by the following criteria in the Contracts tab within the Reporting area [499343]:

  • Internal Signatory

  • Other Party Signatory

  • Workflow Name

  • External Party

  • Document Categories

  • Terminated Date

  • Critical Dates

  • Contract Description (Filter only; no sorting)

  • Other Party Contacts

  • Pulse Check Campaigns

The following columns and their corresponding filter options will be removed:

  • BAA Effective Date

  • BAA Expiration Date

  • COI Effective Date

  • COI Expiration Date

  • Contains BAA

Additional columns in the Reporting > Vendors tab 

Users will be able to filter and sort  by the following criteria in the Vendors tab within the Reporting area [499345]:

  • Individual Vendor's First Name

  • Individual Vendor's Last Name

  • Primary Contact Email

  • Primary Contact Phone Number

  • Street Address (Street Address 1; Street Address 2)

  • Tax ID Number

  • Zip Code

  • Fax Number

  • Primary Product/Service Field Data

  • Exclusion Verification Information (when available)

Users can now filter, sort, and export the following columns [499350]:

The Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Responsible Party column will now display the user's name instead of a “Yes” or “No” value.

Workflows

This feature has been removed from this release because it caused an issue with reassigning workflows. It will be re-released at a later date.

Expand request contract feature

When approving a new contract request, an admin will be able to initiate a workflow with any action type. [1248324]

  • If working within a multi-organization tenant, after the admin selects and confirms the organization in which to initiate the workflow, they'll be redirected to the new workflow page. It will default to New Contract, but will allow them to select Existing Contract if appropriate. All other functionality on the page will remain unchanged.

  • If working within a single-organization tenant, the admin will be redirected to the new workflow page. It will default to New Contract, but will allow them to select Existing Contract if appropriate. All other functionality on the page will remain unchanged.

Contract Library

Admins and editors will be able to unarchive contracts with a status of terminated or expired. [928363]

Archived isn’t a status in the sense that terminated and expired are. It’s an additional attribute.

Correct invalid status for archived contracts

With this release, symplr is resolving a number of invalid data states across all tenants. [1371591]

All contracts with an Archived status will instead be flagged as Archived, and their status will be set to Expired.

  • Valid statuses include Active, Expired, and Terminated.    

  • Only contracts in Expired and Terminated statuses can be flagged as Archived (which is a flag, not a status). 

    • Some migrated contracts were loaded with Archived status.  

    • Because this is not an expected value, contracts with an Archived status can show incorrectly in symplr Contract.  

Vendor Pulse Check

Campaign Management: Workflow Tab 

Users will be able to view and manage Vendor Pulse Check workflows on the campaign management page. [454454] 

  • This is the same worklist as My Worklist.  

  • It will have the Filter Table, Manage Columns, Export Table, and Additional Columns widgets.

Conflict Capture

We added the Survey Submitted Date column to the Conflict Capture worklist and Conflict Capture report, making it easier for customers to track survey progress and follow up with respondents to ensure completion. [808906]

General
  • Newly added documents and attachments failed to appear in global search results. [1516500]
    This has been fixed; newly added documents and attachments will appear in global search results.

  • The content of dropdown menus will be alphabetized throughout the application for consistency. [599479]

  • In a particular tenant, users were unable to sign in due to a data issue. [1462316]
    This has been fixed; users can sign in.

Notifications
  • The email notification “Phase Owner: A proxy user has been assigned” failed to send. [1450592]
    This has been fixed; the email will be sent.

  • Toggling the Organization Notification Emails setting off failed to prevent comment notification emails from being sent. [1439318]
    This has been fixed; when the setting is toggled off, users will not receive comment notification emails.

  • Toggling the Organization Notification Emails setting off failed to prevent Vendor Pulse Check cancellation emails from being sent. [1436353]
    This has been fixed; when the setting is toggled off, users will not receive Vendor Pulse Check cancellation emails.

Reporting
  • Recent updates to Contract Categories failed to appear when reporting on contracts. [1414119]
    This has been fixed; recent updates appear in reports.

  • Inactive Contract Categories failed to appear when reporting on contracts. [1491075]
    This has been fixed; inactive Contract Categories appear in reports.

  • Updates to the Responsible Party made on a contract (after workflow completion) failed to appear when reporting on Critical Dates. [1469738]
    This has been fixed; updated Responsible Parties appear in reports.

  • In the Attachments tab, the number of attachments onscreen differed from the number of attachments in the exported report. [1455995]
    This has been fixed; the onscreen report matches the exported version.

  • In the Attachments tab, the Visible to External Parties column failed to sort. [1440611]
    This has been fixed; users can sort the column as expected.

  • A scheduled report failed to send on the date specified in the Repeat field. [1446410]
    This has been fixed; the scheduled report will be sent on the specified date.

Workflows & Worklist
  • Workflows with open review phases were excluded from the Pending My Action filter on the worklist. [573991]
    This has been fixed; workflows with open review phases will be included when the user selects Pending My Action on the worklist.

  • Initiating a workflow on an existing contract returned an error, although the new workflow appeared in reporting. [1423212]
    This has been fixed; initiating a workflow on an existing contract will no longer return an error.

  • There was a typo in the banner telling the user to add a signatory to the Participant Info pane. [1487555]
    This has been fixed; “Participant” is spelled correctly in the banner.

  • Attempting to reassign a workflow returned an error. [1574164]
    This has been fixed; users can reassign workflows under applicable conditions.

Contract Library
  • Attempting to perform a keyword search in Contract Library returned an error. [1573994]
    This has been fixed; Contract Library keyword search will return results as expected.

Admin
  • In the Form Assignment tab, admins were unable to edit custom contract summary layouts. [1490658]
    This has been fixed; admins can edit custom contract summaries as expected.

  • In the workflow template editor, the user was unable to add a phase without selecting a form template. [1445921]
    This has been fixed; attempting to add a phase without first completing the required fields, will return an error message.
