Document Template Library

Why do this?

Document template library allows a single document template to be associated with multiple contract types. This saves admins the trouble of creating multiple records for a single document template.


Who can do this?

Only Admins can add and manage document templates.


How to Add a Document Template

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Document Template Library.

  • Click Add Document Template.

  • In the Add New Document Template modal, complete the form.

Enter Document Template Name.
  • The name must be unique.

  • If you click Publish without entering a Document Template Name, the document template name will default to the name of the uploaded document.

Select Contract Type.
  • You can select more than one contract type.

  • This is a required field.

Select Document Category.
Add a document.
  • You can drag and drop the file or choose the file from your computer.

  • This is a required field.

  • When finished, click Publish.
    OR
    To save the document template as a draft, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without adding a document template, click Cancel or ✖.

The document template will be unavailable in all workflows unless the status is set to Published.


How to Edit a Document Template

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Document Template Library.

  • Click the document template you’d like to edit.

  • In the Edit Document Template modal, edit as needed.

  • When finished, click Publish.
    OR
    To save the document template as a draft, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without saving your changes, click Cancel or ✖.


How to Delete a Document Template

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Document Template Library.

  • Click the document template you’d like to delete.

  • In the Edit Document Template modal, click Delete.

  • Click Confirm Delete.
    OR
    To close the modal without deleting the document template, click Cancel or ✖.


How to Copy a Document Template

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Document Template Library.

  • Click Copy Document Template.

  • In the Copy Document Template modal, select the document you’d like to copy.

  • Enter the name of the new document template. Document template names must be unique.

  • When finished, click Copy.
    OR
    To close the modal without copying the document template, click Cancel or ✖.

The new document template’s status will default to DRAFT. It will be unavailable in all workflows unless the status is set to Published.
