2025.6 Prerelease Notes

The 2025.5 Release has been tentatively scheduled for the week ending Friday, October 10!

This release will occur on or after October 8.

These are the features and enhancements that may be included in the upcoming release. Please note that this list is subject to change.

The prerelease notes are essentially a summary, or abstract, of the release notes that will be published the day of deployment. If you read the prerelease notes and not the release notes, you will miss details regarding major features, as well as minor changes and defect fixes that cannot be published this far in advance of a release.

  • These items are currently undergoing testing for quality assurance. If our QA team deems an item unfit, it will not be released. This means that we might not release everything on this list.

  • To avoid surprising you, we will not release any major change that is not on this list.

  • We will still publish full notes on the day of the release. Here’s what you’ll find in those that you may not see here:

    • A complete list of the features and updates that were actually released

    • Detailed instructions on how to use new features

    • Bug fixes and defect fixes

    • Minor tweaks to the UI that improve the user experience without substantially changing it

New

Change default signature type

Admins will be able to change the default signature type. [1338360]

In multi-organization tenants, this setting will apply to the entire tenant.

To change the default signature type:

  • Go to Admin > Application Settings.

  • Switch the Default to ink signature type toggle.

  • Select Save.

Admins and editors will be able to unarchive contracts with a status of terminated or expired. [928363]

Archived isn’t a status in the sense that terminated and expired are; it’s an additional attribute.

Updated

  • The pagination tools at the top of every table will also be available at the bottom of each table throughout the application. [1338391]

  • When an admin removes a user group (as phase participant) from a workflow template with in-progress workflows, they'll see a warning that the change may cause issues with in-progress workflows. [1243447]

This will help prevent issues that arise when a phase owner or admin needs to retract a workflow to a phase in which a member of the removed user group was the phase owner.

  • When a phase participant opens a workflow after they've already completed their turn, they'll see this message: You've completed your turn. [1340052]

Previously, the message shown was: It is not your turn. The phase is currently waiting on <current participant's name>.

  • If a user attempts to access the Microsoft editor from an expired link, they'll see the following message: This link is no longer available. To check your access, sign in and navigate to the worklist.  [984880]

  • In the workflow template editor, when a user selected the pencil icon to edit a section of a workflow template that appeared in any other workflow template, when they selected Save and close, they'd see a warning popup stating that the change they made would affect other workflow templates even when they had made no changes. [1338394]

This has been fixed; the warning popup will only appear if changes are made.

Alert the user when an External Party user is about to have access to the Microsoft editor

When a user is about to take an action that would result in an External Party user becoming the active participant in a Negotiation Phase, the internal user will see a confirmation popup. [852083]

The popup will show under the following circumstances:

  • A reviewer or approver submits their review or approval.

  • A phase owner or admin selects Start Phase.

  • A phase owner or admin skips a current active participant.

  • A phase owner or admin sequences an External Party user after the phase has started (either as the first sequenced participant, or as a sequenced participant after all other participants have completed their actions).

The popup will alert them that an External Party user will have access to the document and any unresolved markups if the proceed. The user will be able to Cancel or Accept and Continue.

Additional columns in the Reporting > Users tab

Users will be able to filter and sort  by the following criteria in the Users tab within the Reporting area [499346]:

  • Organization

  • Super Admin Indicator

  • Inactive User Indicator/Status

  • Contract Type(s)

  • Last Login

Resolved

  • On the contract summary page, the Attachment field within the Custom Fields tab appeared to be editable, and would return a 500 error when a user attempted to edit it. [1246314]

This has been fixed; the field is grayed out and appears as read-only.
