Conflict Capture

Our Conflict Capture module integrates with symplr Contract to automate the distribution, submission and management of conflict of interest statements.

To access Conflict Capture, your organization must subscribe to it, and your user profile must have the appropriate user role and permissions. If you have any questions, contact your Admin.

Conflict Capture Worklist

To access the Conflict Capture worklist, go to Queue > Conflict Capture.

  • If a user accesses a workflow via the Conflict Capture worklist, they will be returned to it upon closing the workflow.

  • If a user accesses a workflow via a notification, they will be directed to the Conflict Capture worklist upon closing the workflow.

  • If an Admin or Campaign Coordinator accesses a workflow from the Campaign Management page, they will be returned to it upon closing the workflow.

Conflict Capture Workflows

Most Conflict Capture workflows consist of just one phase: the Conflict Statement Phase. If the Respondent submits an answer on their form that triggers a conflict, then a Resolution Phase will automatically be added to the workflow. Otherwise, once the Respondent completes their form, the workflow is complete.

Conflict Capture workflows are excluded from the Dashboard.

On the workflow page, just under the phase progress bar, is the workflow header. It shows the following information:

  • Respondent Name, Job Title, and Email

  • Provider or Vendor*
*For the associated Provider or Vendor link to appear, the Respondent must be added as a contact on a vendor or provider record.

  • Campaign Name (not a link)

  • Conflict Capture Category

  • Campaign Start Date

  • Campaign End Date

Tabs

  • Below the workflow header is the Statement tab, which contains the conflict of interest form (and certification text, if applicable) that the Respondent will complete.

  • The General Info tab will be present if a General Info form was added during campaign setup.

  • If a potential conflict was identified when the Respondent submitted the form, the Resolution tab will be added. This is where the Resolution Manager will address the potential conflict of interest.

Panels

  • The Resolution Managers tab shows the name and email of the assigned Resolution Manager(s).

  • The Comments tab allows participants to record comments and read other participants' comments. You can read more about comments here.

  • The Attachments panel allows participants to upload attachments and see attachments uploaded by other participants. You can read more about attachments here.
Note that confidentiality, sharing with External Party users, and Attachment categories don’t apply to Conflict Capture attachments.

  • The Workflow History panel records details about actions taken on the workflow.

    • The history records the following actions:

      • Conflict Capture statement is completed.

      • Resolution Phase is completed.

      • Conflict Capture workflow is cancelled.

    • The history records the following details on these actions:

      • Date/time

      • User who took action

      • Action taken
