Timesheet Activity

Why do this?

Timesheet activities help users to differentiate between timesheets.


Who can do this?

  • Only Admins can add and manage timesheet activities.

  • Timesheet Reporters and, if applicable, Timesheet Assistants can select the activity from the Activity dropdown in the Add Time Entry modal in the Time Entry Phase.


Where can you do this?

  • Timesheet activities can be created, managed, and viewed on Admin > Timesheet Management. The Timesheet Activity tab, which includes the Timesheet Activity table, is displayed by default.

  • A timesheet activity can be created or added to a new timesheet for an existing contract via contract summary page > Timesheets > Add New Timesheets > Timesheet Schedule.

  • A timesheet activity can be added to an existing timesheet in the Add Time Entry modal during the Time Entry Phase.

  • A timesheet activity can be edited or removed on an existing timesheet via contract summary page > Timesheets > Manage Scheduled Timesheets > (click the timesheet you want to edit) > Edit Timesheet Schedule.

  • Timesheet activities appear:

    • In the Timesheet Activity column in Reporting > Timesheet Configs (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)

    • In the Activity column on the timesheet table in the Time Entry Phase (the column appears by default)


How to Add a Timesheet Activity

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Timesheet Management.

  • Under the Timesheet Activity tab, click Add Timesheet Activity.

  • In the Add New Timesheet Activity modal, complete the form.

Enter Activity Name.
  • This name must be unique.

  • This is a required field.

Enter Rate.
  • This is a numeric field.

  • The rate displays up to three decimal places to support mileage reimbursement of $0.545.

Select Unit.

This is a required field.

Enter Pay Code.

This is a text field.

By default, the status is inactive. Only active activities are available for use. To change the status to active, switch the toggle to ON.

  • When finished, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without adding the activity, click Cancel or ✖.

Timesheet activities cannot be deleted. To make a timesheet activity unavailable for use within a timesheet, toggle its status to inactive.


How to Edit a Timesheet Activity

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Timesheet Management.

  • Under the Timesheet Activity tab, click the timesheet activity you’d like to edit.

  • In the Edit timesheet Activity modal, edit as needed.

  • When finished, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without saving your changes, click Cancel or ✖.
