Timesheet Unit Type

Why do this?

Timesheet unit types allow Admins to create custom units types.


Who can do this?

  • Only Admins can add and manage Timesheet Unit Types.

  • Only Admins can build and schedule reports for Timesheet Unit Types.


Where can you do this?

  • Timesheet unit types can be added and managed via Admin > Timesheet Management > Timesheet Unit Type.

  • Timesheet unit types can be added to a new timesheet via contract summary page > Timesheets > Add New Timesheets > Activity Info

  • Timesheet unit types can be added or edited on an existing active timesheet via contract summary page > Timesheets > Manage Scheduled Timesheets > (click the timesheet you want to edit) > Edit Timesheet Schedule > Activity Info

  • Timesheet unit types appear:

    • In the Unit column in Admin > Timesheet Management > Timesheet Activity (the column displays by default)

    • In the Units column in the Time Entry table and the Add Time Entry modal on an active workflow


How to Add a Timesheet Unit Type

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Timesheet Management.

  • Under the Timesheet Unit Type, click Create Unit Type.

  • In the Add Unit Type modal, enter a unique name for the Unit Type.

By default, the status is inactive. Only active Timesheet Unit Types are available for use. To change the status to active, switch the toggle to ON.

  • When finished, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without adding the Timesheet Unit Type, click Cancel or ✖.

  • Timesheet Unit Types cannot be deleted. To make a Timesheet Unit Type unavailable for use within a timesheet, toggle its status to inactive.

  • Timesheet Unit Types cannot be edited. In the Edit Unit Type modal, you can only switch the active/inactive toggle.
