Timesheet Activity Group

Why do this?

Timesheet activity groups help users to differentiate between timesheets, as well as various timesheet activities.


Who can do this?

Only Admins can add and manage timesheet activity groups.


Where can you do this?

  • Timesheet activities can be added, managed, and viewed on Admin > Timesheet Management > Timesheet Activity Group.

  • A timesheet activity group can be created or added to a new timesheet for an existing contract via contract summary page > Timesheets > Add New Timesheets > Timesheet Schedule.

  • A timesheet activity group can be added to an existing timesheet in the Add Time Entry modal during the Time Entry Phase.

  • A timesheet activity group can be edited or removed on an existing timesheet via contract summary page > Timesheets > Manage Scheduled Timesheets > (click the timesheet you want to edit) > Edit Timesheet Schedule.

  • Timesheet activity groups appear:

    • In the Activity Group column on the timesheet table in the Time Entry Phase (the column displays by default)


How to Create a Timesheet Activity Group

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Timesheet Management.

  • Under the Timesheet Activity Group tab, click Create Group.

  • In the Add Timesheet Activity group modal, complete the form.

Enter Activity Group Name.
  • The name must be unique.

  • This is a required field.

Enter Description.

Select activities.
  • To include an activity in the group, click the checkbox next to the activity.

  • By default, the list includes only active activities. You can remove the filter to include inactive activities by clicking the X in the filter.

By default, the status is inactive. Only active activities are available for use. To change the status to active, switch the toggle to ON.

  • When finished, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without adding the activity group, click Cancel or ✖.

Although all timesheet activities can be removed from a group, timesheet activity groups cannot be deleted. To make a timesheet activity group unavailable for use within a timesheet, toggle its status to inactive.

When an Activity Group is added to a timesheet, it will be stored as an attribute of each Activity in that Activity Group.


How to Edit a Timesheet Activity Group

  • Hover the cursor over Admin, then select Timesheet Management.

  • Under the Timesheet Activity Group tab, click the timesheet activity group you’d like to edit.

  • In the Edit Timesheet Activity Group modal, edit as needed.

  • When finished, click Save.
    OR
    To close the modal without saving your changes, click Cancel or ✖.
