Select Primary and Secondary Other Parties

Who can do this?


When can you do this?

Typically, the Primary Other Party is selected during the Initiation Phase, but you can select the Primary Other Party and Secondary Other Party in any phase of an active workflow.


Where can you do this?

  • The Primary Other Party can be selected on the Initiation page during the Initiation Phase.

  • The Primary Other Party or the Secondary Other Parties can be selected or edited in the workflow header.

  • Once the Primary Other Party is selected, it appears in the workflow name.

  • Once the Primary Other Party or the Secondary Other Parties are selected, they appear in the workflow header.

  • The Primary Other Party appears in the Primary Other Party column in:

    • Worklist (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)

    • Contract Library (the column appears by default)

    • Reporting > Worklist (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)

    • Reporting > Contracts (the column appears by default)

  • The Secondary Other Party appears in the Secondary Other Party(s) column in:

    • Contract Library (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)

    • Reporting > Worklist (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)

    • Reporting > Contracts (the column can be added via the Manage Columns widget)


How to Select a Primary or Secondary Other Party

  • In the workflow header, click the (+) next to Primary Other Party or Secondary Other Parties.

  • In the dropdown, select the other party.

  • To save your selection, click Save
    OR
    To close without saving your changes, click Cancel or ✖.


Additional Considerations

  • When a user updates the Primary Other Party, the workflow name will be updated accordingly.

  • Users can delete the Secondary or Tertiary Other Party but not the Primary Other Party.
