Initiation

A Phase Owner or Admin can initiate a workflow

 

Form

The Phase Owner controls the Form Phase. They can:

  • Record comments, add attachments, and view the entries

  • Enter and save form data

  • Start and complete the phase

  • Add participants and modify the participant sequence

  • Add responsible parties

  • Retract or cancel the phase

The Form Phase may have Reviewers and Approvers. They (and any other phase participants) can:

  • Record comments, add attachments, and view form entries

During their turn, Reviewers and Approvers can:

  • Enter and save form data

  • Submit their review or approval

Document Source

The Phase Owner controls the Document Phase. They can:

  • Record comments

  • Add, edit, and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

  • Add, edit, upload, and delete documents

  • Start and complete the phase

  • Add participants and modify the participant sequence

  • Add responsible parties

  • Retract or cancel the phase

The Document Phase may have Reviewers and Approvers. They (and any other phase participants) can:

  • Record comments

  • Add and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

During their turn, Reviewers and Approvers can:

  • Add and upload documents

  • Submit their review or approval

Negotiation

The Phase Owner controls the Negotiation Phase. They can:

  • Record comments

  • Add, edit, and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

  • Add, edit, upload, and delete documents

  • Start and complete the phase

  • Add participants and modify the participant sequence

  • Add responsible parties

  • Retract or cancel the phase

The Negotiation Phase will have Reviewers and/or Approvers. They (and any other phase participants) can:

  • Record documents

  • Add and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

During their turn, Reviewers and Approvers can:

  • Add and upload documents

  • Submit their review or approval

Signature

The Phase Owner controls the Signature Phase. They can:

  • Record comments

  • Add, edit, and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

  • Add responsible parties

  • Add participants

  • Add an Other Party Signatory

  • Start the phase

  • Retract or cancel the phase

  • Complete the phase AFTER all Signatories have taken their turns

In an Ink Signature Phase, the Phase Owner can:

  • Modify the participant sequence BEFORE starting the phase

  • Upload new document versions AFTER starting the phase

In a DocuSign Signature Phase, the Phase Owner can:

  • Modify the participant sequence BEFORE starting the phase

  • Enter DocuSign’s launch/editing page upon starting the phase

The Signature Phase have Signatories. They (and any other phase participants) can:

  • Record comments

  • Add and download attachments

  • View and download document versions

During their turn, Signatories can:

  • Add and upload documents

  • Submit their signature

The Signature Phase may have Reviewers and/or Approvers. During their turn, Reviewers and Approvers can:

  • Submit their review or approval

Activation

The Phase Owner controls the Activation Phase. They can:

  • Record comments, add attachments, and view form entries

  • Enter and save form data

  • Start the phase

  • Add participants and modify the participant sequence

  • Add responsible parties

  • Retract or cancel the phase

  • Complete the phase, which activates the contract

The Activation Phase may have Reviewers and Approvers. They (and any other phase participants) can:

  • Record comments, add attachments, and view form entries

During their turn, Reviewers and Approvers can:

  • Enter and save form data

  • Submit their review or approval
